When you're thumbing through old photos or pictures from a recent photo shoot, what are the shots you're most drawn to?

When I look through those photos, I like to see the essence of whoever is in front of the camera. For example, I want to see my family enjoying each other and having a good time. I want to see real smiles and emotions. I want to be able to look at my photographs and be able to relive the moment and feel the emotions as if I was actually in that moment again.

The first time I fell in love with photography, I was still in high school at that time, many different small pocket cameras were being made and advancing as time went on.  I was very much intrigued by the technology.  As I began to purchase these cameras, I started to take pictures just about everywhere I went from school, at home, on special occasions, or just of my friends.  I would go to the lab at Eckerd's (at that time) and have them develop.  It was not until I realize that I have captured some memorable moments that I could always go back and relive them again.

I truly believe that photographs are so important. And the best kind tells a story. Remember the phrase, “A picture's worth a thousand words?” My goal for every photo is to have it be worth a thousand and one.
